Types of NPS Accounts

There are two types of accounts available in NPS, namely, Tier I account and Tier II account. The Tier I Account operates as a pension account and the Tier II Account operates as an additional investment account. However, subscribers have the flexibility to choose whether or not to activate their Tier II Account. Here are the key features of Tier-I and Tier-II accounts:

Subscribers can transfer funds from their Tier-II account into their Tier-I account via One-Way Switch facility.
